To Our Valued Customer:
Water and Wastewater system operational costs continue to increase. Many of these costs can be attributed to an aging infrastructure resulting in increased maintenance costs, an increase in pumping costs, an increase in regulatory compliance costs, increased rates for electricity and natural gas, increases in fuel prices, increases in employee wages and benefits, as well as the debt service payments increasing each year. The District must increase its service charge rates commencing January 1, 2008, in order to continue to provide excellent water and sanitary sewer service to its customers and to meet its debt service obligations on outstanding bonds.
